The Timbercrest Recreation Club (TRC) annual member meeting was held on September 12, 2020.
Reports were given on membership, paperwork, volunteering, maintenance, coping, financials, and the website. Of note, we had 104 memberships, a new pool record. There were 42 individual volunteers who provided more than 200 hours of work, in addition to the pool board's volunteer hours. The pool recieved 5 medallion level donations and 12 friends of the pool donations. The online application and payment portal were successes.
The Lap Club swam 20,020 laps in 2020. That's a great distance! That total will be submitted to the city and state.
Elections were held for the 2021-2022 TRC Pool Board. Daine Wright, Becky Pracheil, and Laura Campbell will remain on the board. Mariza Gonzalez stepped down as treasurer. We thank her for all her hard work these past two years. Greg Locke joins the Pool Board as the new treasurer. Officers are:
- Daine Wright - president
- Becky Pracheil - vice president
- Laura Campbell - secretary
- Greg Locke - treasurer
Special thanks is due to Chris Pracheil and Andrew Campbell (pool maintenance committee), Kevin Zinn (park mowing), Greg Locke for providing the potted plants for the pool deck, Chris Woodcock and Ewa Myszkowska (park maintenance committee), and all the volunteers throughout the season. Your work helped tremendously to provide a wonderful environment at the pool and allowed the Pool Board to focus on pool maintenance and chemicals.
The pool will remain open until visitation drops off. This is likely to come with the cooler weather. We expect to close the pool Sept 25-26 or Oct 1-3. If you volunteered for pool closing, we will email you a week before the date. If everyone keeps swimming, we'll keep the pool open!
